Weather

Friday will be mainly dry for the morning and midday hours, but starting Friday afternoon and evening, thunderstorm chances will increase again as a front approaches from the west. That front will act as a trigger through the weekend, prompting scattered showers and thunderstorms late Friday through Sunday.

A First Alert remains up for both weekend days. The weekend does not appear to be a washout, but your outdoor plans may be disrupted at times, so it is probably best to have a back-up plan.

It won’t rain all weekend long, but occasional showers and storms, including a few heavier downpours, are likely both days, and while the overall severe weather risk is on the low side, a couple of storms could be severe.

With more clouds and scattered thunderstorms around, Saturday’s highs will knock back to the upper 70s while Sunday afternoon will bring highs in the lower 80s.

It’s important to note that the festival is a rain or shine event, and umbrellas are not allowed.
