Perfect for gift giving:
As the holiday party and gift giving approaches, I really have to watch my budget. This fudge recipe is the perfect treat to add to a cookie tray. This is a great recipe to make and I typically always have the ingredients in my pantry.
I also make holiday treat bags for my neighbors and my kids teachers. They always look forward to getting our treats every year. These peanut butter fudge recipe never disappoints.
Are you a fudge person?
When I think of making a dessert, fudge usually does not come to mind. But I am starting to realize how easy it is and the different ways to make it.
I love the fact that you don’t have to bake it, you basically mix a few ingredients together and you have a sweet, delicate dessert. You don’t need a candy thermometer either.
Let’s make some fudge!
Ingredients:
- White chocolate chips
- Creamy peanut butter (do not use natural peanut butter)
- Sweetened condensed milk
How make Peanut Butter Fudge:
- Spray an 8X8 square pan with cooking spray, then line the bottom with waxed paper or parchment paper.
- Place the white chocolate chips and peanut butter in a large mixing bowl (microwave safe bowl).
- Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the white chocolate chips and peanut butter are melted, fully combined and smooth.
- Then stir in the sweetened condensed milk until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Refrigerate until the fudge is set (approximately 2-3 hours).
- Once the fudge is fully set, cut into squares and serve!
- Try sprinkling a little powder sugar before serving.
You can use your stovetop:
You can use your stovetop if you prefer rather than using your microwave.
- In a medium saucepan, you will heat your chocolate chips and peanut butter over medium heat.
- You will need to continue stirring while you bring it to boil. Take a few minutes stirring until well combined.
- Then turn down heat stir in condensed milk until well combined.
- Then pour and pan and cool.
Can you freeze fudge?
Yes, you can freeze fudge. We like to cut the fudge before freezing in smaller sizes. This way, you can grab a piece anytime without having to cut a piece while frozen. It is best to double wrap it in plastic wrap or parchment paper to prevent the fudge from freezing.
Fudge will last for 2 months in the freezer. If you freeze your fudge, you don’t need need to thaw it before serving. See can you freeze fudge for more tips and tricks.
Try these Peanut Butter Desserts:
We love peanut butter at our house. Having it for dessert is no exception. When it comes to peanut butter combining it with chocolate is one of my favorite ways to eat it.

- Easy Peanut Butter Cheesecake Bites Recipe – We love cheesecake, but mixing peanut butter with it goes to a whole new level.
- Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cupcakes Recipe – One of my kids love Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and requests these every year for his birthday.
Peanut butter desserts are a top favorite in my family. Rather it celebrating the holidays or just needing an after dinner treat, there isn’t anything better than picking one of these for a tasty treat.
What kind of peanut butter do you use?
We like using the creamy peanut butter for this recipe. It works perfectly to achieve that rich creamy texture that we love when making fudge.
If you would prefer to use the crunchy peanut butter you can. The texture would be a bit crunchy but if that is all you have, then I would give it a try.
I would stay away from the natural peanut butter. It doesn’t set well with this recipe.
Add in some mix-ins:
This peanut butter fudge is great as it is, but sometimes we want to mix things up. Why not add in some variations to your fudge. Here are some of our favorites:
- Roasted Peanuts – Using crunchy peanut butter is good, but you can also mix in some roasted peanuts for a crunchy fudge.
- Chocolate Chips – Mini chocolate chips are a great addition.
- Butterscotch Chips – These have become a family favorite add-in.
- Marshmallows – The kids will love adding these in.
- Vanilla Extract – You can add in a few drops of vanilla. We love the warmth it gives.
Get creative and add in some additional ingredients. We love trying new items every time we make them.
How to store fudge:
It is easy to store fudge. It is best to keep leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will last up to 1 week.
Some people like to keep fudge at room temperature, but I think it is best to keep in the refrigerator.
